About You

  • Have experience and/or want to gain more experience working in an open and collaborative team of software developer and quality engineers
  • Are a dedicated software quality craftsperson who cares deeply about best practices and what it takes to write and maintain great code
  • Are flexible enough to handle changing priorities
  • Are eager to work with tools and technologies that may be outside your comfort zone
  • Are comfortable expressing your opinions, and have the facts to back them up, but are willing to compromise when necessary
  • Like to have fun while you’re working, but understand when it’s time to get serious


  • Drive a quality mindset across our website development teams
  • Ensure proper test automation coverage for all new functionality
  • Ensure automation suite is stable, maintainable and performant
  • Proactively identify areas of automation tech debt and work with the team to address
  • Promote the collaborative creation of test cases by involving developers in the process
  • Help blur the line between development and QE by encouraging developers to write thorough automation
  • Pay attention to industry trends and latest technologies and best practices

Technical Skills

  • 3+ year in test automation and/or development in a full-time role
  • Experience in Javascript
  • Experience working with Git in a CI/CD environment

Nice to have

  • Experience with:
    • Web Services
    • Unit testing frameworks like Jasmine, Jest, or Mocha
    • Browser automation frameworks like Selenium
    • Auditing network requests using tools like Chrome DevTools or Charles
    • Static analysis for testing metrics like code coverage and cyclomatic complexity
    • Databases (i.e. DB2, MySQL and/or Cassandra)
    • Source control management services like Github and Bitbucket
    • Log analysis tools like Stackdriver and Splunk
    • Build and deploy automation tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
    • Issue trackers like Jira, Basecamp, etc
    • A/B..n split testing tools like Adobe Target, Optimizely, or Monetate
    • Puppet-driven configuration management
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Leadership Skills

  • Ability to promote a quality mindset across a team
  • Focus on team effectiveness, results, and customer success
  • Self-motivated individual who helps team resolve bottlenecks
  • Passionate about technology and staying up to date on industry trends
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams
